I'm a beginner and have been traininf for 2 years. I'm just getting
muscular. The problem is i'm going on a
scholarship for 4 months in which i am not sure yet i will be able to train.
Is 4 months off so bad you have to start over again after. What about the
muscles you build in those 2 years. Will they remain ?
Thanx

1. The muscle size will not remain, but they will return quickly upon new
training.
2. Consider handstand pushups, one leg squats,. etc for keeping some of the
stuff.

about a year ago i took around 4 months off from lifting. i lost about 1/2-3/4
inch on my gunz, i put on a little spare tire and i lost ALOT of strength on my
bench press..i mean i didnt do ANYTHING during that time off. i was a lazy sob.
just ate and watched tv. it took me about 2 months to get back to where i left
off. i worked hard as hell though. .
by the way, it shouldnt take you 2 years to get muscular unless you were a huge
beast of a man. (or a very young teen)
Consider buing a tube or different ones - very convenient as they take so
little space - and yes training correctly with a tube can give you quite
some challenge!! I use them when I travel.
Good luck,
Anette

I just took a 3 month layoff. My bf increased less than 1%, and
bodyweight stayed about the same...
It is important to remember to ease back into training after a layoff
to avoid injury... I would take at least a month and probably 2 to get
back to old training weights.
This might all be a moot point, though, as most places there is a
school, there is someplace to lift.
