"Priority" -- at least in Linux and I suspect XP and other semi-modern OSes
too -- doesn't mean "low CPU use", it means "if any higher-priority
processes want the CPU, it yields". So if all you're running is
SOL.EXE, AVG gets darned near 100% of the CPU.
