I have a 1989 Probe GT and I have noticed that the Muffler is the
worst looking part of the car!  I don't know if it has rusted out
inside (they is no problem with noise, etc.), but the outside of the
case is rusty and the exhaust tips are an ugly black/rusty colour.
And I only have ~18,000 miles on it (never winter driven).  When
compared to similar mufflers on cars like the Celica/Integra, etc,
which have nice chromed exhaust tips, etc, this seems totally
unacceptable.  Oh, well, I have absolutely no other complaints about
the car, so I guess I shouldn't worry about it.  Besides, it just
makes it easier to justify putting that new HKS performance exhaust
on it a little sooner! ;-)

I have a Mazda MX-6 GT.  Supposedly the same car.  Am I going to have
the same problems?
