In the last couple of years a rhythmic knocking has
developed in our water supply lines when a toilet is
flushed. I thought there was something wrong with
the toilet fill valve, but then last summer I discovered
that it also happens when the outside spigot is turned
full on. The frequency is about three knocks per second,
but it increases if sink faucets are opened. Now I'm
wondering why a sink faucet alone _won't_ trigger
it. Anyway...any idea what's happening, and how to
get rid of it?
