we attempted when almost 1/2 done with our house the conventional way. We
soon realized we would need 2-3 more coats of paint than the traditional
way and who knows how long it would last. we wound up taking the sprayer
back to the store!
: Has anyone painted their house with a Wagner power sprayer.
I used one and it worked ok. Unfortunately, we have house one color
and trim another. We spent a LOT more time making off, and covering up
with plastic than actual painting. Be aware, the overspray will go
a long way. I still have tiny white specks on my trunk, and it was a
good 50 ft from where we were spraying. Make sure you don't spray
your neighbors new <insert expensive car name here>.
I used the hose in the paint can, and had one of my kids follow me
around carrying the can. You will be refilling the small container
a lot if you don't use this. In addition the paint is usually
too thick out of the can. You need to thin it just enought to get it
to spray but not too much.
For me hand painting is sort of "mindless fun" without stress, where
the spray painting is much faster, but also much more "work".
Unless you planning on owining many houses I wouldn't buy a sprayer as they
cost around a thousand dollars.
Also, before you paint rent a powerwasher from the paint store and wash your
house first.
have fun!

Very slooowww. Does not put out much paint. BTW, several painters have
told me that all things being equal, brushing lasts longer and utilizes
paint more efficiently(less waste).
