When it comes to practical technologies and trains working on time (as
Mussolini used to say), Disney is the one to deliver. Their advanced
train have been running smoothly where in the rest of the country they
are falling apart. This is the train from Miami to West Past Beach...

A real antique, right? Notice: Only to WPB not Orlando... get it? What
would happen if Obama dared propose trains like Disney's? Those damn
socialists wasting money, right? Well, the "Land of Make Believe" is
also leading the future in NEV's or Neighborhood Electric Vehicles.
Imagine having community where you could ride a bike among the NEVs
without much fear. Perish the thought, all those alternatives sound
leftist unless you put them in practice in a protected community.

I give up, I just give up. Like the Prophet said, "If the mountain
doesn't come to you..."

This is news for the track minded who are missing the train... I
didn't know myself, but I'm always captivated by new technologies and
would like to see the SUVs go the way of the dinosaurs...

(You always have to know what's going on in the jungle)

Worth noting this wouldn't get a penny from me, but Google gave them a
million bucks for it...

(YOU MUST SEE PICTURE)

http://www.wired.com/epicenter/2010/09/googles-vision-of-the-future-bicycle-meets-monorail/

It looks idiotic though not as much as driving 3 tons of SUV to get a
gallon of milk.

This is particularly demeaning to the place where I live...

"Shweeb is about to announce where its first public-transit system
will be installed. We’re thinking it might work well in Miami Beach,
where the well-tanned can shuttle from hotel to beach in a bathing
suit, showing off their liposuctioned and collagen-injected derrieres
through the plexiglass capsule to onlookers below."

Ain't it nasty? No more than 50% of women here have gone to the
bodyshop.

By the way, I'd go with old fashioned bikes on the road, which may
prevent some of that bodywork as well as save big bucks.

I'm sorry to disappoint some of my followers, but the above shows that
either SOCIALISM or ABSOLUTELY PRIVATE CORPORATIONS can run
government.

Mussolini did it with Fascism too, but that's completely out of
fashion.

No national elections discussing gay marriage, but who makes the
trains run on time.

Here they compare Obama to...

It must be sold by the ones that want government run by a private
corporation.

Sorry if you lost the train of thought. ;)

Oh, I just realized... Celebration is considered "New Urbanism" which
I propose in my Master Plan for any Banana Republica out there. Yes,
my plan is to have these ideas implemented in some dilapidated country
(say Cuba) and make it go according to some sense of proportion and
quality of life, not the ideas imported from the West and North based
on the car and the Gated Community... Comprende?

THE MASTER PLAN

Thank you, that's important clue to shared roads. What I'd do
though in the REAL WORLD is to implement 25mph on the right lane only,
then up to 35 on the other lanes.

Actually everybody may come out better.

Thank you. All those simple yet effective solutions have been
incorporated into the MASTER PLAN.

They are considered part of New Urbanism, or livable communities. The
problem is the movers and shakers live in Gated Communities.
