Interesting, and it sounds cheap, but the cost of a cell in only a
fraction of what one pays. You need storage devices, controllers,
inverters and backup. The payback just is not there in many cases for
the system. We don't get much sun here. The cells would under perform.
That 10¢/KWH still looks pretty good. We were getting power outages
all the time a few years ago. Now they replaced much aging equipment
and it's been trouble free for three years. I like the sun too. I just
can't afford to purchase the sun right now.
