strikes on a hanging gong - a magnificent sound from a gong made from
a unique alloy. Patented collar-locking crowns, operated with quick
half-turns to help prevent water damage (red arrows show open status,
white arrow shows closure). <br> Since 1833, when the inventive
Charles Antoine LeCoultre established this venerable watchmaker, it
has produced some of the most outstanding and innovative timepieces.
