Isn't the only way to achieve that by using really hot water?

Any recommendations for something that makes really hot water?

I'm going to feed the troll; one of the simplest ways to achieve
hot water is a pan or kettle on the stove. Patience! Let it
come to a boil. Another solution the use of a microwave oven
to heat water to a boil.

If any of these suggestions are hard to understand just let me
know and I'll try to make it more simple for you to grasp.

One can "superheat" water in a microwave oven. Demonstrated here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1_OXM4mr_i0

As soon as you move it or put something in it the water boils and drops in
temperature.

Percolators in essence boil water and pour it over the grounds. They are a
lovely way to have bitter oily coffee.

Otherwise... screwing your boss's wife.
