I have been looking at Electric Blankets. My sister wanted me to get
one here in my city because her city was sold out. After going to a
couple of stores I find out that I just missed the close out sale.

I bought her two Queen size blankets. I was looking for a King size
for me. None of the stores here have them.

My big problem is there are many many choices. I don't mind paying
big bucks for a good one, but I would like to get a nice one at close
out price. I am guessing a deal like that is going to be rare on the
Internet.

Any suggestions for a King Size? Naturally, I want the very best
money can buy and I don't want to pay a lot for it. :)

We got ours at yard sales. Roughly $5 each and they've been working for
years.

I bought three Sunbeams three years ago, we use them in the winter and
in our unheated pop-up camper in the late fall. I bought them at a
clearance outlet for $20 a piece.

All three work just fine thanks.

I think I missed any closeouts on king sized here in our small town. I

I may watch next year for a close out, but I think 3 regular king
sized blankets and a quilt will hold me this year.

Thanks everyone

You used it, and in a way not intended, and you plan on "taking it back"?
Wow, just wow. That's like returning used underwear.

You didn't notice the wires while you were putting the blanket on the
bed? I think you have problems that can't be cured by an electric blanket.

The instructions generally say something like 'do not put anything on
top of the blanket'. It seems pretty clear that that includes human bodies.

There are electric blanket-like things that are designed to sleep on,
but a regular electric blanket isn't one of them.

Only a plonkable douche would argue that it's ok to return a used product
because it works the way it's designed to but not the way the douche hoped
it would. It would be funny if it weren't so sad. And borderline criminal.

You're not supposed to put the electric blanket under anything but a
bedspread; you should be under it. Reviewing the instructions might
be appropriate.
