When a war can't be won, it should be reviewed and adapted or dropped.

They lost the Drug on Alcohol because it was fought right in the
streets in America with too much noise, but they are still waging the
quite ones, or the ones that make noise in another country.

MADD is looking for perfection on alcohol, but not on driving across
the board. For example, TALKING ON THE PHONE is far more dangerous and
prevalent and yet they are OK with it.

A rather narrow minded organization that is... or one that's making a
living with it --just as lawyers, prisons, rehab centers and others do
with drunk drivers.

So who's behind the war against prostitution in a more active way?
They call it "white slavery," so they seem to be pretty strict for
something so common. And yet that slavery --for some it is-- seems to
be the result of poverty NOT immorality.

I'm sure drunks can buy their bikes. Actually RIDING A BIKE IN AMERICA
IS OFTEN ASSOCIATED WITH DRUNKS.

The problem is normal people do not feel safe on the roads, and drunks
are willing to take a chance. You see them riding on sidewalks all the
time, not to be confused with regular cyclists.

*Do you think DUI would be as high in Holland?*

Drug dealers/users are smart. They go with the flow, and they know
what needs to be done, though they hurt many people and some of them
get killed or land in jail.

Listen, Buddha himself told me that I'M THE ONE, so why argue about
it. ;)

(You think the only problem is a Crusade on Drugs? Not so. The Crusade
on Alcohol is very much alive, but now it has become profitable)

The police is also engaged on a profitable campaign against speeders.
Not Christian, but profitable. They set up a speed trap, and they are
ready to make drivers part with their money.

And yet people take chances because then they go to the lawyer and he
finds a way to fight for you, and make you part with more money.

See, I've said the Christians are to blame for everything, just that
they are happy with the status quo, which shows indifference for this
mundane world.

I don't want to get philosophical here. ;)

Riding a bicycle could do the job of a PE trainer, but we want a job
for him, right?

Then we need igloos for Alaska, and Hammocks for the summer in the
Lower 49.

The point is that we plant a lot of trees and consume as little energy
as possible, short of riding a bike, which is nearly impossible under
the current lawless conditions on the roads.
