Reverse free tel & auto license lookup

Just out of curiosity:

I've tried both of the subject line services on the web a few times but
they never ended searching. Yesterday, using my own license number, I let
one run for about six hours and it was still searching when I gave up.

Paranoidly, I think it's a plot by the non-free services to get you to use
them instead. <g>

Any of you have the same experience?
