My mom is now on PagePlus. She probably uses 30 minutes a month, and
she's worried about only $4 in her account. I told her I'm waiting until
the balance is really low before I apply the 1400 minute card, so the
next expiration date is as far out as possible, but yesterday I finally
added the time to avoid any more worrying.
From $40/month postpaid to $4/month prepaid. When she tells her friends
I expect that I'll be deluged with requests for how to set up PagePlus
with a $20 Verizon InPulse handset.

How have you managed that? On the PP site the longest period I can set
for auto-reload is 30 days. I'd love to set up a 120-day auto-reload.

LOL, he still hasn't answered that.
He probably means it's set up for auto-refill after four months, then he
has to go in and set it up again. Not a bad plan, the worst that can
happen is that you forget to change the auto-refill date after the first
auto-refill and it adds another $10 after 30 days.

Verizon's lack of customer service is their own fault. If I had to go
back on the Verizon network, I would use PagePlus, not Verizon.

I'm going to be calling customer service first thing in the morning,
myself. My Z6m was locked and in my shirt pocket all day today. I reset
the minutes and data timers/counters when I bought this service. Until
today, there has been 0 bytes of data used, 0 minutes of data interconnect
time.
Tonight, the data timer is a little over 3 minutes and the byte counter
suddenly reads a little over 37KB of data usage I'm not going to be paying
for. The phone was on, it has no email account or any addresses in any
system. They were all carefully deleted before PagePlus. Why would it run
a couple of weeks before suddenly using 37KB of overpriced Verizon data?
I intend to find out that answer and how to stop it in the morning....
I'll dump this Z6m for a phone-only CDMA phone tomorrow if I'm told it
can't be stopped. SOMETHING called into my phone today....I didn't even
get a single voice call all day! There are no messages, there's no browser
loaded into its BREW and I never had any apps, and the phone was LOCKED
when it happened.

Who knows? Could have been something someone sent you, i.e. MMS. 37KB at
$1.20/MB would cost you less than a nickel. Don't spend too much time
with customer service over that much money!

"leakage" from my precharge. That's unacceptable to just blow it off and
let them get away with it. They all know exactly what they're doing and

How do I disable any and all data connections from a Motorola ROKR Z6m?
Any info on that is MOST appreciated! I'm also terrified of Celltop which
is still on the phone if you press the wrong button. Know how to dump all
these bogus apps not listed on the apps list?

They'll do it. My older PP phone's account has data disabled (it was
activated) before PP offered data, and I never called to have it enabled.
My newer one was activated during the dta "era" but I haven't had any
unauthorized charges yet (knock wood!)

Got a nice message from PP this morning. All data access had been
disabled and I won't be bled by data usage. I have not tested to see if
data is still there, just read his message. He did something else for
me because when I followed his instructions to connect the phone number
to the new online account I set up...I DID get the SMS message on the
phone with the phone's activation code to put in the webpage to complete
the transaction.
Then, looking around inside the new account, I found I could turn off
SMS and Voicemail from the online account page, securing my phone from
those nonsense charges to the account balance.
You CAN turn it all off and just have a PHONE to make PHONE CALLS,
nothing else....at least so far.....
SMS has to be running on the phone so PP can send you the setup
activation code to connect that phone number to the webpage account
online.....then you can dump it for good.
