"Doesn't call????" What are you, dating?
You're supposed to call the dentist, not the other way around.
Actually, I schedule my next appointment while I'm there.
Doesn't call indeed.

I get a nice reminder card from my dentist.

Most Dentists around here charge you if you miss your appointment. I book
a cleaning every 4 months and if I know I'll miss my appointment I phone
them a few days in advance and change the time or day (penalty free.)
Seriously. And I have my teeth cleaned every 4 months, like normal people.

Only for suckers.

Or you are a pain in the arse as a customer and they get
plenty of work from customers that arent a pain in the arse.
>Seriously. And I have my teeth cleaned every 4 months, like normal people.
I had my tooth cleaned back in... lemme see... 1974, I think. :)

I do attribute a lot of these difficulties with dentists is the wide
spread use of Mercury. The older the dentist that uses it probably has
had an overdose of this heavy metal.
Heard of the "Mad Hatter"?
just recently dentists have been ordered not to so treat Pregnant women
with mercury.
I wonder if they
> just don't like my politics.
How would the dentist know your politics? There are few people in
this world I would not like to piss off; anyone handeling my food and
anyone with power tools inside my mouth (dentists).
Pick your battles carefully.
> I thought it SOP that a dentist sees you every 6 months.
More like a hygienist, for a bi-annual cleaning.

Is there some new secret sign? Or is this just you being odd, again?

Most of them these days want patients that will buy some kind of upsell.
Whiteners, a bridge to replace a partial, or an overpriced electric
toothbrush.
I had one that claimed every headache I ever had was due to TMJ. Which I
don't have. He was eager to help, and at a price that would pay off his
new Corvette.
The good doctor was later arrested for murdering his former girlfriend. He
ran over her with his pick up truck. I guess he didn't want to scuff the
Vette.
