Drive from Phoenix to Dallas Texas: Cost to rent car to do so?

I'm wanting to fly into Phoenix in abt a month, rent a
car, and drive it completely thru Arizona, New Mexico,
and Texas with final destination at Dallas TX.

I've only rented a car once in my life... and then it
was brought back to same place I stated at.

Can someone give me a rough estimate of what this may
cost?

I will check on the Net... but always like asking real
people for advice too.
