For those of you who file your own U.S. federal tax return and _do not_
have a complicated tax situation, take a look at the following free
solutions:

https://sites.google.com/site/excel1040/
http://opentaxsolver.sourceforge.net/
http://www.taxvisor.com/taxes/

The advantage of using any of them is that your information does not
end up stored in some company server like H&R Block, TaxSlayer,
TurboTax, etc.

I don't know about the other sites, but you don't think Google stores
your information??? They probably know more about you than you know
about yourself.

??? That Google address allows you to download an Excel file that you
can use on your computer for doing your taxes. Yes, Google stores
information but at least in this case they will not be able to caputre
my income tax details.

The Excel file is a creation by a guy named Glenn Reeves. He uses
Google to make his Excel file available to everybody who wants to use
it.

I have used the Excel file for several years and highly recommend it.
