I've used Onesuite for years with few problems. I had it set up where I
did not have to enter my pin number each time I made a call. About a week
ago this feature stopped working. I checked my account at their web site
and it was still set up. I sent an email to Onesuite with no response. So
I deleted the setup and then re-entered it, but that did not fix the
problem.

Has anyone had this problem lately?

Nancy

Perhaps your local carrier is not sending the caller ID data to onesuite?

It still works for us, and I know we've used it in the last week.

Nancy are you dialing the 1-800-3159339? I am having problems with
that too from time to time. Try to use the other 800 number,
1-800-3165123 and see if that works. It works on my end. But if you
are using a local access number then try another Onesuite local access
number. Hope it helps.

Zee,
Thanks so much for responding. The second number works fine. It's too bad
that Onesuite couldn't suggest this.

I was told once that I had to reset my PIN accounts every so often, as
Onesuite only holds the numbers for a certain period of time as a
courtesy in case you don't close your account and someone else gets your
phone number they can't use your Onesuite account.

Onesuit support is off shore and aside from having comprehension problems is
not technically trained much less qualified. Hint they read from a scrip
and if it 'ain't scripted" they can't tell you.

Maybe you were talking about Zip dial accounts. It's bound to happen
that someone will get your phone number
if you move out and change phone numbers and never remove that old
phone number from your Onesuite account.
Anyone who will get your phone number and sign up for Onesuite can not
use it for their Zip dial (pinless) anymore and you
will pay for their Onesuite usage unless you remove it from your zip
dial account. Same thing when members of
family using different Onesuite and try to use the same number for
their Onesuite Zip dial.

Most customer support are overseas now. Many big names in
communication/cable/internet have their customer
support off shore because of one thing, less cost for them and
Onesuite is no different I guess. BTW, I got
the second 800 number from their customer service.

I also uses Onesuite services and whenever I need to know something I
just call their support number, I don't email because emails will take
awhile to get answered in general.

One thing I noticed with OneSuite is that originally I didn't need to
disable caller-ID blocking to use PINless calling. Then for a long while
I had to disable caller-ID blocking prior to calling the local access
number (*82), and if I didn't it would ask for a PIN. Recently, when I
forgot to disable the caller-ID blocking, I was surprised that it didn't
ask for a PIN, and this still is the case. I don't know how they figure
out the number you're calling from when Caller-ID blocking is enabled.

They may be using ANI instead of CID.

As a telephone company they can probably get that info.

Recently I noticed that they are passing my caller ID [or ANI] to the
call recipient.

Formerly they had been delivering the ID of I think their ourbound
port

I thought that ANI was only available on incoming toll-free numbers. I
guess there's an exception for some customers.

I asked Onesuite support about this too as I was suprised that my
number shows up on the other end. I was told that they changed their
system and by default, Onesuite subscriber's number will show. If a
customer doesn't want their number to be seen then they can call
support and request for that without additional charge.

I think the reason why your caller id won't show up when using a phone
card like Onesuite is because most people wants anonymity with the
exception of some. Maybe Onesuite received lots of complaints (because
some people won't accept calls if they don't recognize the caller) and
gave in to people's request.

But it does show up, so what are you talking about?

That was before Onesuite change their policy on caller ID.

Now it shows up and if you don't want your caller id to show up then
you need to call Onesuite customer support and request for it (its
free)

Yes now people you call can see your number and not Onesuite generic
number or none at all. I like it this way so they would answer my
calls. Some of my important calls before weren't answered because they
(people at the other end) were thinking a telemarketer was calling
them.
