Here is one way to convert YouTube videos to DVD disc using WinXP freeware.

YouTube2DVD (please improve as needed)

1. Download any desired YouTube videos to AVI on your hard disk
http://www.dvdvideosoft.com/products/dvd/Free-YouTube-Download.htm

Note: Other suggested YouTube video downloaders are:
http://www.downloadhelper.net/install.php
http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/download.htm
http://www.techcrunch.com/get-youtube-movie/

2. Convert a set of these AVIs to DVD files on your hard disk:
http://www.dvdflick.net/

Note: If you downloaded the YouTube video to FLV, you can play FLV
using:
http://www.free-codecs.com/download/Media_Player_Classic.htm
plus http://www.codecguide.com/download_kl.htm
Or
http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_players/vlc.cfm

Note: You can convert FLV files to almost any desired format using:

3. Burn the resultant DVD image on hard disk to a DVD disc:

Your three-step guide is concise and great, Jim. Now if you can let us
know a way to correct audio-video sync problems that plague far too many
YouTube videos, I will be really grateful.

Hi Paul,
Yes. I noticed the same thing. When I downloaded the YouTube video to FLV
and then converted the FLV to AVI and then converted the AVI to DVD, I had
serious lip-sync problems crop up. I dunno why. But there they were.

That's why I suggested the Free-YouTube-Download method instead:
http://www.dvdvideosoft.com/products/dvd/Free-YouTube-Download.htm

This method skips the FLV2AVI step, converting directly from YouTube2AVI,
and, it seems in my tests so far, the lip-sync problems are vastly
diminished.

Now, I might ask ... what causes the lip-sync problems in the first place?
That is, is there anything we can do to prevent lip-sync problems?

It says "Free Download" and "Win a free license" in the same web page.
Is this tricky?
Is it freeware or not?

It sounds like shareware.

Typically this means you can download and try it out for free but you'll
need to buy it if you want to actually use it.

Its not tricky , its shitty, and happening more and more.
Screaming about freeware, and after installation it turns
into trialware, even on sites advertizing a freeware collection.
