WITH NO ONE TO TURN TOO....... MY GOD BLESS YOU

hi my name is lynn. my christmas wish this year is for my kids. i am
going though a very bad time right now i worked for this company for
15 years and two months ago they laid me off. so money is really
tight right now. i get $180.00 every two weeks from unemployment. and
that all has to go towards the rent both checks i get a month if i
don't pay the rent i will be on the streets. and my kids father is not
in there lives. he lefted so we are all alone i couldn't even pay the
gas and they shut it off so it's very hard on my kids. it's just that
i tried to pay it and i would pay 5 or 10 dollars here and there. but
it just caught up and the gas company would not make payment
arrangements with me because i was in default on my bill. so they shut
it off last month. and our thanksgiving was not all that good. i
didn't have much food so we ate chicken nuggents out of the freezer
that i microwaved. all im asking for my wish is to make there
christmas wish come true something for them .

all we have is each other i sit in my bedroom at night and just cry. i
try not to show the kids how bad it is. but they know they ate blind
they see how upset i get. and they all say it's ok we'll be ok mom we
dont need anything.
i'm not asking for anything big just something that they can open on
christmas day. because with me putting all my money away to pay the
gas bill and the rent. i can't get them anything. and i also would
like to be able to give them something a little better to eat on
christmas day. i know you grant alot of wishs every year and your list
is proably long at this time. so im praying to the lord above that you
get this. because you are my only hope and if you could help me. i
would be so very greatful and always in your debt. so i beg you please
grant me and my kids our christmas wish. my kids are very good kids
they go to school every day and bring me home A's and B's so they do
deserve this.

The year we were broker than broke and had no money for anything, I came
up with this idea to give each other the gift of appreciation. We had
to write down at least two things for each other person in the family
that we appreciated/liked/respected/whatever about them. The small fry
had two weeks to come up with all this, and each piece of paper was
closed individually (stapled or taped) and given out one at a time. It
was great.

Alternatively, you might ask your church for help (since you say you are
praying to the Lord above, I am guessing you might have some church
contacts) or find a St. Vincent de Paul thrift shop in your community
and see if you quality for help through them. Also as a reference
librarian at the public library if they know of any organizations in
your community to go speak to. That will work better than
cyberpanhandling on the internet.

Unfortunately, Melinda, there are people making a living at
cyberpanhandling and the press eats up the success stories and spits them
out as us like so much unwashed laundry.

If the OP was sincere, more power to her. I like your ideas of appreciation
as gifts. I'll take Paypal donations, thankyouverymuch :)

*retch* I guess P.T. Barnum is alive and well on the internet also? I
can't believe people would be suckered in by these things.
