baking soda, salt - definitely frugal, too.
the dentist told me that baking soda is too abrasive to be used daily.
didn't ask about salt.
Considering that the sale was announced on 31-Oct-2007, that probably
won't make much difference.

Use baking soda or baking soda and salt. You're not literally
forced to do anything.
