Interestingly enough those two share the same parent company.
Anyone remember when KFC was Kentucky Fried Chicken and it was edible?

After he sold the company they still used him for promos. When they
introduced a new recipe he took part in the PR event. He took one bite
and said it was the worst chicken he had ever tasted.

Around here they combined a KFC and Taco Bell into one
establishment. One of the high points of the 20th Century.

He didn't like what they did to the food after he sold the company, ranting
"Garbage!" and dumping containers of sauce on the floor in restaurant visits.

We have a Pizza Hut in with KFC/Taco Bell, locals refer to it as
"Katacohut".

Yeah, now. Before it was soggy. I never bought it, preferring
Brown's or Popeyes. I still prefer them, but KFC is better than it
was when the Colonel was serving it soggy. Better to have it crispy,
so you don't see all that grease.
Matter of taste. My grandma made better fried chicken then any of
them. They're all "fast food" so I limit the Popeyes visits to maybe
3 times a year.
McDonalds, Burger King, and all the other fast food places are in the
once every 60 year bucket, starting about 15 years ago. I'm 61, and
really looking forward to my next visit.

It depends on what's in the area. Some are Pizza Hut/Taco Bell
combos, others are KFC/A&W. I don't think we have a KFC/Taco Bell
combo here. Yum! is the parent company of those restaurants, I'm not
sure if the ones around here are corporate or franchise. But they all
have Pepsi so I'm fine with the concept :)

Yum was spun off from Pepsi. As part of the deal they are required to
sell Pepsi products for eternity.
