Let the games begin! President elect Obama is going to get hard
lessons in political reality. Though the airwaves are filled with the
usual blather about "bringing us together" the fact is that Americaa
is becoming more divided.

Man how confused you are. This is not a political analysis it's only
the repetition of the worst republican talking points, wrong as they
have always been. Let's turn page, shall we?

Are you suggesting he will simply follow in GW's policies?

Bet you cant list even a single one of the shrubs policys that he plans to reverse.

No, but he wont be reversing any of them, you watch. Just fiddling
with a bit of the detail like the tax rate for those earning more than
$250K etc and it remains to be seen what Congress will buy anyway.

demonize both the party they don't belong to and its members. The

Wow, just like David Ben Gurion, who fought with the Irgun, blew up the
King David Hotel and later served as first Prime Minister of the
newly-created state of Israel.

That's just terrible! Awful! Let's undermine President Elect Obama over
it!

Your highly embroidered article neglects to mention how during the time
of the Irgun, Palestinians and Jews were united in their strife against
British imperialist oppression, rather a worldwide attitude at the
time. Similar sentiments simmered and actions took place in the British
colony of India. God help us if the Obama administration ever includes
a well-qualified Hindu or Sikh.

Perhaps not, but their advocates are well-represented and far too
influential under the Republican's laughably-named "big tent". Indeed,
if there is one major factor that lost John McCain and his party this
election, it is the disproportionately loud voice given them by
Republican leaders' misguided attempts at populism. The diseased
animals comprising this group should definitely be purged from the
party before it becomes irrevocably infected. IOW, force them back
under their uncivilized slimy little rocks and do whatever is necessary
to quarantine them there, and I will reconsider my current Democratic
party affiliation. I've been relatively conservative my entire life, but
conservatism has never meant illiterate, faith-based savagery to me, so
now I'm called a "leftist" a "socialist" and a "liberal" by subhumans
who do not even know the meaning of the words without looking them up.
And Republicans gave them legitimacy and sat back and laughed their
fatcat asses off for eight humiliating, insufferable years.

Who's laughing now?

> Nor are those who voice similiar views always republicans, and
> democrats are no more immune than anyone else.

Agreed, but Republicans have deliberately chosen to make theirs the
most inviting party of choice to those holding such despicable views.
It's why I became embarrassed to be a Republican when they selected
George W. Bush over McCain. I would have happily voted for Willie Brown
himself over any candidate fielded by the Republicans and their thugs.
Their stench became more than I could bear, and apparently the majority
of the rest of the country thankfully felt the same way.
