I can't think of a better / quicker way to lose money than to resell
dropshipped goods on eBay (except perhaps attempting to resell goods
bought at retail).

The trick is that you don't buy the goods until you have already
sold them at a profit. If you never sell them then you're not out
any money. Very popular method of selling items found at the local
dollar store.
