My wife loves "Andy Capp's Cheddar Fries". (not the hot fries) However,
it seems to be more and more difficult to find them any more, and I have a
problem with paying anything over 50 cents for a 3 ounce bag of any snack.
These things cost $5 a pound.

I'm looking for some generic or other brand with a similar taste that I
might be able to buy a 1 pound bag for $2 or so.

Can anyone recommend anything? Frankly, I don't feel like overpaying just
because Andy Capp's picture is on them.

Thanks!

How did a person like you ever allow the wife to taste such
extravagance as brand named fries?
Even with your tiny allowance of 50¢ for three ounces, each person
could consume only three ounces of fries as their entire meal with
your $180/month family grocery bill. Yea, we believed that.
You could buy the real thing at Amazon.com or some wholesale shop and
come within shooting range of your goal. By the way, probably not a
good idea for you to have guns around the house. And don't let the
kids taste any snacks until they have jobs.
