I have been away from this NG, well, all NG's for awhile. Out of curiosity
come back in here and check to see what's going on and wham, full of spam
and cancelled messages.

Seems to have gone downhill since the first time I came in here years ago.

One solution is to filter ALL postings via google groups. Its

The problem is that just about everyone who used to post here has gone away,
moved on, lost interest, or for whatever reason, stopped contributing, and
very few newcomers have appeared to take up the slack.

The spammers have gotten a strong foothold, and ruined the group. Before, spammers would get
flamed/reported to their ISP and hounded until they desisted. Now, it seems most ISP's don't take any
action when you report their customers spamming, so nobody bothers, so more spammers spam, and
so on.

Most of the spam comes from bullet-proof Google Groups spammers.
Killfile all GG posts, and the group becomes useful again.
