Does it make any difference which you buy? Would flying insect spray
kill roaches and ants just as effectively? If you are going to buy
just one type as a general bug spray?

It can do depending on what you are trying to kill.

It does if you spray it on them directly. The problem is that roaches
particularly come out in the biggest volume when you arent around
and so you really need something that works when you arent around.

Ant bait works best with special formulations that see the ants cart
the ant killer back into the nest and kill the ants that are still in the nest.
You cant kill very many ants by spraying the holes even if you can find them.

Doesnt work very well for some bugs like ants and roaches particularly.

Flying insect spray kills some flies and mostly your lungs. I don't
use it any longer. Chemicals don't only kill bugs, and I didn't realize
it until it was too late.

We lived in a trailer park in close quarters. We would spray, or put
out the things you had to leave overnight while it fumed through the
house. We would be rid of bugs for about a week. Until the neighbors
got tired of them and did the same things. We spent years chasing the
bugs from one house to another and back again.

We found RoachPruf which has borax in it. At that time it was easily
obtainable. Through the years, the higher paying chemicals took the
shelf space and today the only store I can find RoachPruf is at Ace
hardware. I buy several cans when I can find it. When we built our
house, we filled the walls with the stuff and scattered it all over the
attic.

It is powder that you place where it won't be disturbed and leave it
there. . . behind the 'fridge, oven, in the backs of cabinets, etc. It
gets on the bugs and it is carried into the walls or nests and
voila`.....roaches are gone, and the little ants, too!

I hope I am never without it.

RoachPruf is simply powered boric acid (not borax) with inert blue
dye. You can usually find generic boric acid powder in the pharmacy
section of Wal-Mart, Winn-Dixie, or similar stores. Generic works
as well as RoachPruf, and is cheaper.

Why is it that these days, the words "What idiot" are so frequently
followed by the words "at Microsoft"?
