Naah, I'm a glutton for punishment. I, along with the rest of the
sheep, have also migrated to facebook (which sucks, but when everybody
else went so did I). It's nowhere near as good as usenet was -- There's
either too much control or no control, neither of which is desirable.
'Social Fixer' makes it better, but it still sucks.

I don't know. I keep seeing ads where women offer themselves up, but then
kind of hint that money is involved. It's kind of amusing, they're picky
but want money, "I'm not that kind of girl" but want money, they set their
ads up like anyone wanting sex, but then things like "benefit$" required.

So it would still seem that money can buy happiness, at least briefly,
while these young women are more interested in money than happiness.

More superficial. You only interact with people you've chosen to
interact with, and maybe their friends. OTOH, it's easy to share
photos, websites, etc.

Nowhere near as good as usenet, but kind of easier in a trivial kind of way.
