University of Houston had a good webpage, but after a
google, I found it must have moved to:

Actually Nolo was sued in Texas for practicing law without a license.
The legislature reacted by passing a law that exempted books from any
restriction.

In NYC the court itself used to give, upon request, a free booklet,
explaining what to do before and after court.
