PURPOSE OF SHARED HOUSING:
1) To establish a community of people interested in positive social
and environmental change.

2) To actively promote principles of frugality in a supportive and
non-judgmental surrounding.

3) To encourage friendships among people sharing many of the same
ideals.

4) To save money. No one should have to spend MORE THAN 1/3 of their
paycheck on rent. The money you save in one year from cheaper rent
could go into your 401K, clear up your f'ckd-up credit, provide clean
water to African villages or to buy yourself a health insurance, a
car, a decent mattress. Whatever!

SHARED HOUSING PROPOSAL
Two single sex, 4 BR/3 BA houses in Silver Spring, MD with easy access
to fuel saving public transportation. Bedrooms are to be split between
two people, hostel-style. Each person will pay approximately $250-$288
in rent per month. Sharing of meal prep, recycling, composting,
cistern usage and gardening are highly encouraged.
