hi there,

when inflating using my foot pump, the pump sometimes resists
movement
& the gauge reaches 80psi. something appears to be getting stuck. any
idea what it could be?

i know i can buy another pump for $4 from Herbor Fright, but this was
a quality pump & i would like to try to dismantle and clean it if
possible.

thx

There's a check valve in the line so the air can only go one way.
Yours is stuck or jammed. Take the line off and try to force air
backwards to free up the valve. Then put it back on and try pumping
again. That MAY help. Sometimes the check valve or the entire line
should be replaced. It's an easy fix if you maintain a junk box of
extra parts. If not, you might have something here to begin such an
inventory with.
