Home owners can stop the foreclosure of their home.
The biggest thing they MUST DO is to Talk to Their Lenders.
Bank and Mortgage Companies do not want to foreclosure on your home.
They will be foredto if you don't talk to them.

Actually this is good advice for any type of payment. Just like a
house the lender does not want your car. Similarly if you fall behind on
a credit card or even a utility bill call them up and make a payment
arrangement.
