Although in all published TV books, newspapers and the like, the
Amazing Race is printed as to air in 8-9pm on Sundays, but in reality,
CBS always delays it about 15-30 minutes, to the actual airing time at
about 8:15-8:30pm. Do you have issues with that? I can’t stand it any
more and I have decided not to watch it again. I have not influence
but I can at least save the 1-hour extra time on something else.

No. I haven't wasted any time watching it. Or any of the "survivor" shows.

Just hop over to the Weather Channel, Weather Plus, QVC, or other alternate
drivel for the first 30 minutes. Or perhaps the first 50 minutes; the last
10 is about all that will matter.

Why is it that these days, the words "What idiot" are so frequently
followed by the words "at Microsoft"?

No. I'm more concerned with the "real" problems that Ohio Guy has.

No everyone in Ohio is impaired, although it would seem that way judging
by the last election...

Uh, no. It's contrived "reality" bullshit, so it doesn't matter if it
ever airs, never mind a little late.

Do you really want to discuss the sorry history of the Republican
Party in Ohio? I seem to recall the 2006 election, throwing many of
those crooks out. And I don't use the word crook lightly.

The Republican Party has been closely associated with incompetence as
well. The leaks from inside your party have said that when John McCain
went to Washington during the bailout crisis, he not only didn't have
any answers, he didn't even know the questions to ask!

Haven't watched any reality shows except Trump's "Apprentice" for a
couple of seasons, and then more so I could get a feel for Trump's
thought processes than the storyline. The shows aren't reality and
are more about lessons in petty backbiting than educational.

Anyway, the problem is easily resolved with tivo, or even a $5 used
VCR and a salvaged tape. Watch when you want, skip the commercials.

I just discovered a downside of the PVR: as we caught up with
recently recorded shows over the last few days, we were subjected to
bits of pre-election campaign comercials that we thought we were done
with. (Yeah we can skip the commercials, but the campaing ads were
almost continuous there at the end and it's hard to avoid seeing a
little snip of them before you hit the skip button or when the skip
interval ends just before the real show starts.) Bleah! Like
recurring nightmares.

Say, I've been wondering...

Given your theories of how GWB was responsible for the downturn before
and shortly after his inauguration in 2001, you must be really
dissapointed in Obama for the huge drop in the market and the 6.5%
unemployment rate announced last week.

The delay is called football. Football games keep running late. The 3 pm
games got pushed back to 3:15 pm or later a few years ago, but the late
game is still running past the time CBS allots in their schedule.

You were probably just wasting an hour of your time every week watching
the show if a 15 to 30 minute delay makes you quit watching it. If you
really like the show you would tolerate the delay.

These delays are really annoying when using a DVR. I will try to record
the show right after the show I want to compensate, but sometimes I have
another show I want to record.
