First, I think if you could somehow be the connection point between
people's computers and their TV, that would be a good move. People
are going to download more and more movies and TV episodes from the
Internet. Possibly some wireless thing people can plug into one of
their computer's USB ports that communicates with your DVRs. This
would overcome what I call "The Last Dash", the 100 meters between
one's computer and one's TV.

Second, if you can do the above, I would recommend funding a TV series
that is only accessible from p2p networks. Distribute it free. I'd
suggest a family sit-com where your DVR is something that is just part
of their lives.

In 2003, I wrote "The P2P Revolution", a white paper about p2p's
impact on the entertainment industry. Here's a link to it:

If you want converse about the paper, feel free to email me at sj (at)
rpwsj (dot) com

Good luck,
Scott Jensen

Scott, thank you for your advices.
Yes, wee are well aware of the benefit of connecting computer to TV
connections. But we also know the difficulties and copyright legal problems
on recording video online playback on TV. We may be able to make it easy for
user, with some reasonable know hows to transfer files to and from computers
for playback on TV. But, we try to avoid this battle with copyright holders.
May be you can think of a good method to benefit the manufacturers and
users.

We also interested to understand how and where to seek marketing partners or
partnership?
For distributor, retailers & OEM with option without Hard drives (for
different retail HD disk capacity models, and reduce inventory cost & import
costs).

Scott, actually, I think all you need is playback function of files at your
TV.
If you download the media files into flash drives, this digital video
recorder should playback your files at the USB port.
