FOR IMMEDIATE PRESS RELEASE

January 5, 2000

MWM National Organizers are amongst leaders to return to Pontiac,
Michigan

Pontiac MI -

National organizers of the Million Woman March Dr. Phile' Chionesu Ph. D.
(founder) and Brenda J. Burgess have called for all sisters of the
Million Woman March Universal Movement once again, to converge on the city
of Pontiac, Michigan.  This is in retaliation for the recent trial and
conviction of 13-year-old Nathaniel Abraham.  Abraham was recently
convicted of second degree murder of Ronnie Green Jr.

Numerous organizations around the country converged on Pontiac December
14, 1999 for the sentencing of Abraham.  Local NAACP President Dr. Rogers of
Pontiac leads the rally along with Reverend Al Sharpton, Dr. Martin
Luther King III, Dr. Chionesu, Sister Burgess and numerous leaders.  Other
planned events include a live panel discussion on Friday January 7, 2000
with the
National Organizers of MWM and various community leaders.  Also being
scheduled is a Praise Rally that will be held at St John's Church in
Pontiac.
These events will culminate with a demonstration on the Oakland County
Courthouse on the day of sentencing.

The judicial system has been ambiguous in setting a sentencing date to
avoid the masses from converging on the Oakland County Courthouse.  However,
the NAACP and numerous organizations in Pontiac are keeping a watchful eye on
the actions of the judicial system as well as the negligence of The Oakland
Press (the local newspaper) to report the support of these two families from
the Black Community.  "We have had a steady flow of interest involving this
case" Dr. Rogers states.  "We have been contacted by CNN, FOX news, NBC
and the Michigan Citizen.  It is important that everyone know that Pontiac
does
indeed care about our children".

Leaders from around the nation will be in Pontiac as early as January
11th and many will remain there planning demonstrations, rallies and panel
discussions.  "We encourage all to join in anytime during this period in
a international show of support for the families of Ronnie Green Jr. and
Nathaniel Abraham." Brenda Burgess said.  "We will not sit back and let
our children be railroaded by the system."
