586 Honduran Women Murdered in Four Years
Tegucigalpa, Jan 26 (Prensa Latina) NGO Women Research Center-Honduras
(CEM-H) reported that during the last four years at least 586 women have
been assassinated in this country.
"For that reason we demand more protection and respect of our rights,
highly violated nowadays," the group highlighted in local press.
Homicide cases and domestic violence against the wrongly called week gender
had a considerable increase in 2006, emphasized CEM-H.
It specified that social, labor and sex discrimination to which women are
subjected to, damages the integrity of those who live with Human
Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV-AIDS).
