Rally at the Capitol on April 5th!

If you are anywhere near Washington, D.C. on April 5th, then hurry down to
the West Lawn of the Capitol by 11:30 am for the second DC-area Student
Rally Against Student Aid Cuts!

YUP! This coming Wednesday, April 5th, at 11:30 am, on the U.S. Capitol's
West Lawn, over 600 students are scheduled to assemble and rally against
the draconian cuts in student aid being proferred by the 104th Congress!

Organized by the Student Alliance for Educational Access, a DC-wide student
group opposed to the proposed budget cuts in student financial aid, and
sponsored by the national coalition of student groups opposed to the
elimination of student financial aid programs, this rally looks to be a
fantastic display of grass-roots politics and student activism!

Scheduled to speak are:

Sen. Ted Kennedy, D-Massachusetts
Sen. Mark Hatfield, R-Oregon
Sen. Claiborne Pell, D-Rhode Island
and several local, DC-area students!

Schools and Students from around the D.C. area and all students from around
the nation are invited to attend. After the rally, student volunteers will
be lobbying Congress and dropping letters in their offices. Currently, over
125 students are scheduled to lobby after the rally. Why don't you consider
helping out?

Let everyone you know who has family or friends in the D.C. about the rally.
The last rally the Student Alliance for Educational Access organized on March
1st had 300 students. The media will be watching and are sure to come and
report on the activities!

Spread the word, and continue the fight! Stop the insanity! SAVE STUDENT AID!
