They have asked for public comments. So you have to stand up for
yourself if you want to make things happen. I am sure that if
sufficient people request, then DHS will consider this legitimate
request of considering MIS under STEM. Its one of the easiest things
you can do by just sitting at your home. Let your friends know about
it as well.
My suggestion is that you explain in your comment how MIS / ITM
(52.1201) is a core part of technology through your courses and work
you are currently doing which I am sure is related to technology. You
make as much difference as a CS grad does through systems development,
analysis, etc.
We can attach articles and research papers that suggest MIS / ITM
(52.1201) people are technical skilled workers.
