Information systems are of greater importance in success of a company.
Information system can help a company to better manage their
resources. It can help a lot in taking important decision which are
valuable for the company's running.

Cingular Wireless

This case study is also an example efficient resource
management, that how the CIO of the Cingular Wireless manages their
resources in a proper and managed way which was very effective for the
company. The CIO of the company had lots of decision to take. The
integration of 1400 different information systems, managing 60 call
centers and integration of the 11 different billing processes was not
an easy task. Teams were made from the different departments.
Customers were also consulted. The team of 6000 it professional made
day and night efforts to integrate the information system and give an
efficient integrated system. The CIO also had to cater with FCC policy
deadlines regarding the customer number persistence. The CIO did this
task by changing the certain business processes of the Cingular Inc.



Hewitt Associates Inc.

This case study is about Hewitt Associates. This company deals
in human resources outsourcing and consulting services. This
technology gave them lead in the better cost effectiveness. This
company has also done well in the consulting area. They have three
aims
1. Giving less cost than the competitors.
2. Making such processes is to make the people adapted to their
organizational environment and culture
3. Their outsourcings procedures are state of the art.
