I've just discovered Mingus , have read through the turorials, (nice
job on them, btw), and it looks pretty close to the library I was
afraid I'd need to write.

A few questions, though...

How do I create a note that spans a bar boundary? That is, a whole
note that starts on beat 4 or a quarter note at the end of a bar which
is tied to the first quarter note in the next bar?

How do I create midi controller changes in the middle of a note rather
than at its "note on"? Eg, a midi generated crescendo?
