New Mojang Account problems.

So I have made an new account on Minecraft, and from now on they use E-Mail accounts and passwords for logging in. I was a bit confused, but whatever. So I went to the mineshafter website to add my account. I put in the E-Mail adress, because I did not get an Username, and I had not the option to make one. So I typed in my E-Mail that I created my account in, but it didn't work. Any help on this would be great.

Same, here it seems that when you register Minecraft dosent let you make a Usename, but uses E-mail address. When you try to link that account to Mineshafer, the only option is to use the E-mail address as username but it still wont work, and comes up with 'Invalid Credentials' even though the password is right. Help! Mineshafter could be in trouble, if this isnt fixable

This is a disaster. I have a stupid email and a preferred username. Why did they downgrade their website from a seperately choosable username to a mandatory email address? Mines is about three times as long and about ten times harder to type and remember.

I know right? Ive been trying to make new accounts for my Nooby friends, and since this happens what now? No new Mineshafter accounts available lols, or is it something Ive typed wrong. Note that Ive fiddled with different username to type in but still to no avail. My password is so easy that it cant be that I typed that wrong!

yeah i understand,i think they did this to disable mineshafter.appspot.com.damn it.notch seriously wanted us to play mineshafter by placing that high price tag on minecraft.come on,a game like minecraft shouldnt cost as much as Battlefield 3,although it's a good game.

They did this so you can use the same account for all Mojang games. Also, Notch even says he doesn't even care about people pirating the game as long as they buy it later.

Then add manual or limited username changes and make all games use the username. Why is Notch suddenly obsessed with emails? Why change a system that has worked for years?

Welp, for some time mineshafter wouldn't connect to minecraft and now I finally found out why so thanks for that. Unlike some of you i am gonna go and get me the real deal really soon. You may think Minecraft is expensive but adding Tekkit to the ecuation changes that quite a bit. Have fun everybody I'ma leave piracy behind (at least in minecraft).

The thing is since mineshafter is connecting you and giving you a free account minecraft was losing money they wanted people to buy the product instead of going to mineshafter so they created mojang accounts instead. So now this means in order to get a username for minecraft you have to buy the game from your mojang account to get a premium account username for minecraft. So just to say you guys might not be able but right now all you can do is hope mineshafter can do something or you just have to buy minecraft :/

http://mineshafter.info you must login by using Mozilla FireFox Browser... Happy Gaming! Just simply choose a username and password you like and click connect and your username are done, if you want deactivate your account just change the username and password.... My mineshafter username: AOuch

It's really upsetting considering that I created a new registration amd they won't let me log in, even after they tell me that I've successfully changed my password. It used to be so easy. Username, password, done! Now, it's all about linking, and emails, and resetting that never works. They lost my old username account I created on minecraft.net. It's really dissappointing. Really!!!
