Moderation

Hi All,
Molly has just emailed me in some despair about the new google
groups. In the management bit we don't seem to be able to access
messages awaiting moderation. I haven't found any in the old format
for over two months. Something is going wrong. Google have somewhat
pissed me off over a number of services of late. I don't like the new
format anyway but would learn to put up with it. I haven't got time
to do much more than check for posts awaiting moderation at the
moment, but fear new members are somehow being excluded.
Anyone know anything before I contact google?

Just now I registered as a new member with a different email account
and posted in this thread. I received a pop-up message that my posting
was waiting for moderation. Molly, have a look if you an find it.

what is the possibility of setting a group up within google +  I do not know if it is possible..  maybe only letting people we want in the group?

I did go and look at the new google group information..

According to them  you can use the old group format with no problems at all..

New group,, when I looked over the moderation section  it did not seem to difficult  but I think each person has to have a google groups sections  and you get the postings there.. confusing to me on how to set it up for me to receive it the messages.. my preference is old group format..

that is understandable as ME is the only group I follow..

Could they be rolling it out country by country?  I was apparently switched with no path back.  I can get into a button, "Manage" but member info and settings come up.  Can't find any post info and don't see instructions on managing.  I will say I give it a go now and then but run out of time before it is figured out  Thought I would throw the question out there.  Sooner or later, I'll find it, I am sure.  Until then, thanks for picking up the slack, Neil.

To do moderation we used to be able to come to the group and click on manage.  I've just discovered I have to click on manage before I go to a group in new groups and whatever pending messages come up.  In the group itself I only get the list of members and no access to pending messages.  I'm not in the mood to learn yet more pedantic changes.  I'm at the end of chapter 12 in the novel, with it all more or less in readable chronology.  The evil 'toad' and bent cop are in custody and my heroes are about to launch themselves at paedophile bankers and the bankster system across Europe whilst maintaining side issues of an armed interdiction in the Kivus and new technology in tracing money flows that link a squalid drug transaction on bleak estates to high finance.  The CIA are breathing down my protagonist's (Harry Fleck) neck - literally if we include shower sex - 2 Argentinian drug boats have been sunk, 10 Rasta are dead in the Kivus, a bent hedge fund and international wildlife con are being put under new management and Harry is about to find some contentment with a woman who understands all of this, though there has just been an attempt on his life - foiled by a young female sharp-shooter.  Quite why google is making our lives this complex I can't imagine.
