Don't Panic (in large friendly letters)
Having things break at a Makerspace is a normal occurrence.
Just post a message when you break something and this great group of makers will either help you fix it or find a replacement.
The good news is I bought a pair of these at an auction for $10 each, so its not a big loss - and I have a spare!
Rich also wants to try to weld the cast (we have the right rods in the blue boxes on the welding shelf)
You should also warn other member what not to do with a vice so we don't break too many more :-)

If any past of that is 1" or more Ron could use that for an unlimited welding certification. I only got up to 3/4"

That thing was a beast. I would really like to know what happened there. I can only think thermal shock or someone hit it repeatedly with a sledge.

Or loaded it on one side of the jaw. Usually the cause.
