Excellent news! (Both about the knee and the casting action)

What kind of mold making will you do tonight?  Sand / Bonded Sand / Investment / Ceramic Shell?

Hi all,

traveling this week, so i dont know what day I will be in.

our first casting event will be in the next few weeks, so if you are interested in creating something, please carve or mill something out of pink foam.

a good starting size can be something in the 4"wx4"hx9"d dimensions

aluminum scrap such as angle iron, engine blocks (free of oil and dirt) and other thick aluminum scrap can be used to cast. sorry no pop cans. if you have extra aluminum scrap, that you would like to contribute, please bring it in.

if you have questions, please let me know.

also, does anyone know where to get a dual propane tank manifold? i.e. i wIsh to use one bbq sized tank, and as it empties, switch over to another without interruption. if not, i can create one.

the diesel will be offline until i can design a new burner to work with the furnace, but the propane should be sufficient for now

I have two pink foam nerdy derby cars ready for casting. I also have some aluminum ingots, a lot more than needed for my patterns, that I can share.
