I know we've got a lot of 'em at the space (myself included), but this is about the metal ones.  I have a friend looking for some nuts for his log splitter.  He needs an ACME 6 thread and has not had luck finding them.  He has spoken to a machinist in Seattle who would do them for $170, but was hoping to find a way to get them for less.  He does already have some in the right size with the wrong thread.  Does anyone know of anyone who might be able to do this for less or a supply house that might carry them?  They're somewhere around an inch in diameter, not sure exactly the rest of the dimensions.

Thanks,
Jack

There was a guy at BarCamp who said he worked for Mcmaster-Carr.

We nearly held him for ransom...  maybe we should have offer him a free membership. ;)

Is it odd that the first and only thought that popped into my head
upon reading the subject line was, "Well, you found 'em!"
