I am working with a production company in Chicago on an idea for a Makerspace based TV show.

It would be format similar to Redneck Rocket Scientists where we get a problem to solve and build something to solve it:

Add a freezer and speed upgrade so Granny can get her icecream home from the store before it melts
Power a clothsline to spin dry cloths if the weather report predicts rain.
etc.

The production company would like to do some skype interviews next week with members who would be willing to be on the show, who's interested?

Anyone interested I need a picture and a brief bio, what you do, what your background is, and things you like to work on at the space.

I'd also be interested in us dedicating some small part of the new makerspace to video production.
It would be easy to have some sort of basic set and ceiling mounted (out of the way) lights handy to be able to easily produce our own web content videos.

I'd love to do a weekly video showcasing a particular maker, a project round-up, or something similar.

Instructables just did their live MAKERS OF CHICAGO last night. A short format of something similar would be great!

I need pictures and short bio's for to send to the producers.

Any picture (it doesn't have to be a head shot or professionally done) and a short bio - half a paragraph is fine:  just list the basics, job, education, interests.

In an alternate Universe I was redshirted in a Travis Taylor novel.
Built a trebuchet out of scrap that sent a shot put over 200 yds.
Launched an egg 1000ft up and recovered it unbroken.
Re-enacted the Farnham Freehold method of tree felling without any injuries.
Built sets, houses , one igloo, and a tree house.
Dropped out of college at least four times.
Tutored in chemistry, algebra, stats and english.
I don't need no stinking calculus.
Welded using homemade thermite.
Ran lighting for an opera while calling a square dance. The things people will do for art.
Have cooked dinner using my dishwasher, car engine, a pit filled with hot rocks, Bunsen burner and an acetylene torch. But not simultaneously
I don't own a microwave but can make one from the spare parts lying around my basement.
Have owned a tinfoil hat.

And other very odds and ends
