Qq on 60w air assist

Does the old air vent fan need to be on at all if I am using the air assist on the 60w laser?

Venting system on, then laser, the air assist.

great, thanks. I'm stuck painting a bunch of stuff for the next bit, but i hope to get down to the space at some point today to cut the things i have been waiting a long long time to cut!
