I am working on a project for my father who has been purchasing commercial real estate in Janesville, WI.  Since the GM plant shut down, real estate has been cheap. He recently purchased a small factory that made food additives ("Glucon GDL"), and I am trying to assist in selling the contents of it.  There are about 100 large motors from 20-75hp, a 250HP air compressor,  many process controllers, many very large stainless steel and fiberglass tanks (7500-15k gallon). Everything (except one tank of caustic soda) is 100% food grade. right down to food grade lube in all of the motors.

Another interesting thing is I have 5-6 palates of finely powdered pearlite, and finely powdered bentonite.

Im spamming you guys for two reasons.  Mainly that I have zero experience in industrial equipment resale, and could really use some leads.  Would be happy to cut you (or the space!) in on any commission received if you have a good lead for me. Im told that there are specialty food equipment resellers that may be interested, but its a difficult field to approach completely blind. I have invoices for every thing in the building, and theres easily $1,000,000 worth of stuff in there. It would kill me to have to dump it all for scrap metal.

The other reason, is that if MKE makerspace would have any need for this stuff, I could probably get it to you for "deal of the century" sort of prices.  As long as its higher than the scrap metal value, we can talk :)  It was fantastic to finally get a tour of the space at barcamp.  If any hackerspace has the balls and the space for a 10,000 gallon fiberglass tank,  its got to be MKE right? Theres some very interesting stuff in that plant that would be super fun around a hackerspace, sector67 just doesnt have the room. If someone can come up with a good lead to help me get this building emptied im quite sure I can find a way to take care of donating stuff for free too.

heres a photo gallery, I have invoices model numbers etc for almost everything pictured. https://picasaweb.google.com/100855345129488501027/PuracTanks?authkey=Gv1sRgCJ2hg5i-jrKE6QE

This sounds awesome, but alas, I have no place for such things, nor
the money. I'm sure there are auctioneers that may be able to help.
I'd be interested in playing the place a visit to look around if
you're offering. I'm out in Madison Tuesdays and some Thursdays.

Perhaps other groups might be interested, like the Cream City Collective or other co-ops who already deal with food.
