Last friday on the last practice at Road America my cam chain snapped and ended my racing for the weekend. I hear this was a problem with the 360's. Is there a improved system for this? I'd hate to have this keep happening.

As it turns out there is! A few people on the ChiVinMoto race team have used
this system successfully and with a few small modifications it could work for
you too.

First, unbolt and save all the parts you drilled for safety wire.

Next, part the bike out on ebay, craigslist, or the various vinmoto lists.

Then go buy a CB350K, CB350F, or CB400F. Many of your already drilled fasteners
will bolt right up. Get the bike dialed in and then go ride around with a big
dumb grin on your face.

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask for more info if any part of this eludes
you.

TLDR: The CB/CL 360 sucks.

I agree. The CB CL 360 were like the almost death of Honda in the 70's. They were Capitolist money making bikes with all the excellent parts from the CB CL 350 removed. Wouldn't have owned one back then for all the oil in New York city. I had a Yamaha R5B instead, but now I own a CB360. What a dumby I am.

Hmmm I'm seeing a pattern here. I know but I'm stuck with it for now, i'll patch it up and try to make it last long enough for Gingerman.By the way what is everyone's opinion of the 450s?

The 450 has a weird head design but they can be raced successfully. Take note
of ChiVinMoto's Adam Hoff - he's just finished his first two race weekends on a
CB450 and come home with three second place finishes and one fourth, all in
crowded fields of more experienced riders.

How are you going to patch up a broken cam chain? Please post pics.
