I am trying to help a friends grandson find a fairly decent, cheap bike for
his first ride. Buying it himself, he has about $1,000 to spend. If anyone
knows of something reasonably clean, safe , no junk, let me know. Year,
style don't really matter, he just wants to get on a bike this year.
There are 2 Hondas at Morries Place, a CB450 and CB750.
I don't remember how much the 450 was but the 750 is in that ballpark.

I'm selling a bike for somebody. Asking $1,500, but the "secret price for MilVinners" was going to be $1,200. It's a 1980s Suzuki GS550. It's at Nic Burlo's shop right now, stop by anytime to inspect it. Nic spent the winter tuning it up, so that's the good part of the deal. Carbs were freshly cleaned and tuned, etc. This isn't gonna be a dusty relic that you spend the whole summer trying to get started. It's ready to ride.
I also have a 1989 Yamaha Radian for sale now. Just over 19,000 miles.
Fresh fluids (motor oil, brake fluid, and fork oil), new battery and
tires (Pirelli Sport Demons). Carbs tuned, drive chain cleaned and
waxed, cam chain adjusted, new clutch cable, square headlight removed
and replaced with a round unit. New black handlebars and heated hand
grips added. Does have a small tear on the seat at the seam on the
side. Otherwise it's really clean for a 23 year old bike. This bike
needs nothing at all-runs like a champ! The color is blue.
Email if you need pics sent. I'd like to get $1200 for it, otherwise I
will post it on CL for $1600 and see what happens. There's a black one
on Milwaukee CL right now for $2000. http://milwaukee.craigslist.org/mcy/2992188313.html The bike looks way better with the round headlight that I added to
mine.
