Putting out feelers to sell my 1971 BMW r75/5

Ladies and Gentlemen of the list-

I've been wrestling with a difficult question for a while, and after much thought, have decided to send my /5 off to a new home. My job has me on the road all the time, and the bike just sit and sits, which is NOT good for her. I don't think I've put 500 miles on the bike since I got her in 2009! I've done maintenance with Matt at Motorwest since she came to me. New Conti tires, push rod seals, freshly lubed splines. Carbs synced at the end of last season. Oil changed regularly. I started her up once this season, and she's good to go. 

24,000 on the clock when I bought her. Replaced the speedo/tach unit due to a broken dial, so the mileage is different. You'd have to trust me and the condition of the bike to judge that one. It's a rider - big tank model (not toaster), black, all original save a gel battery. Lower euro bars and cables. Not a show bike, has some character/patina. Cool mirrors, too!

Right now, she's sitting at Chad's milvin clubhouse on Humblodt. I'm in Alaska for another two weeks, but wanted to put the call out there. I paid $4250, did the tires, bars, cables, speedo, and sundry other stuff. That added up. 

I'll probably ask $5000 out in the public later in the summer after I spend some time cleaning, etc. If anyone is really interested, we can talk about that price for sure. Good, unmolested /5, and prices seem to be headed north on these. 

Still have my Puch, so I won't be out of the game completely. Well, once I put that one back together. 

Probably not interested in trades other than a fat tire bike. Like, Surly Pugsley snow bike, not the cruiser type.
